Durant and the Thunder win at home against Nuggets in OT

On Sunday Feb. 19, the Oklahoma City Thunder went up against the Denver Nuggets in a thrilling, historical win in overtime by a score of 124-118. Kevin Durant finished with a career high 51 points on only 28 shots. He was accompanied by Brian Westbrook, who contributed 40 points and 9 assists. The two are the first tandem to combine for such stats since Jordan and Pippen did so in ’96. Serge Ibaka added to the history by scoring his first-ever triple-double.

The Denver Nuggets were lead by Aaron Afflalo, who finished with 27 points, but were unable to spread the ball around when it mattered most in overtime. They now have two of their top scorers on injured reserve, with the addition of Rudy Fernandez, and seem to be slowly slipping out of contention for a home-court seed in the Western conference.
